Due to a retirement this full-service commercial real estate company in Duluth seeks to hire a Senior Accountant to perform the accounting functions for an exclusive sporting club and community. This role is an integral part of the corporate accounting team working under the direction of the CFO.

Responsibilities...

Input accounts payable, code, and process payments
Set up and maintain member list in the accounting system and POS system
Create and email monthly statements
Member Interaction/Customer Service
Owner Interaction
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Input accounts receivable and process deposits
Upload information from the POS system into the accounting system
Maintain vendor W-9s and insurance certificate files
Update and maintain cash logs in Microsoft Excel
Enter monthly journal entries
Perform ad-hoc reporting and reconciliations
Prepare month-end Financials and Cash Flow Statements
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and entry of budgets into the accounting system
Process Sales Tax reports and payments
Review and maintain inventory reports
Troubleshoot problems in various software platforms and work with tech support to solve
Maintain electronic filing system

Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience required
7+ years prior accounting experience required
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines
Self-motivated, must work with minimal supervision
Ability to learn quickly and seek answers independently if needed
Effective written and oral communication skills, effective multitasking skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Demonstrate a clear understanding of basic accounting principles (i.e., debits vs. credits and effect on the balance sheet and income statement)
Proficiency in Yardi, Clickpay, and/or Avid is preferred
Prior experience with a membership club and owner's association preferred

Salary to $90,000 plus discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance. You will be able to work from home one day each week after 90 days. Hours can be flex 8am - 4:30pm, 8:30am - 5pm or 9am - 5:30pm.

Benefits include Medical, Healthcare Savings Account, Dental, 401(k), Life, AD&D, LTD, 8-10 paid holidays, 16 PTO upon hire and 1 day per year of service up to 26 days, early release on Friday - 3:30 pm or 1 pm if holiday weekend.
